The number of mobile devices running Apple's iOS operating system has grown a lot in recent years. This has had a positive impact on the number of apps available in the online App Store, but a negative impact on the iOS device performance. That is why many users of Apple's iOS devices complain about the problems they are facing.

Most Common iOS Problems and How to Fix Them

  1. Spotlight Search not working

This is a very common issue, especially on new iPhone models with large storage. By default, the spotlight search only searches the apps installed on your device. If you want to search through documents, emails, contacts, etc., you need to go to Settings > General > Spotlight Search and enable the search of these items.

  1. Contact sync errors

Sometimes, the contacts can't be synced properly. It's not a very serious problem, but it can be quite annoying. If the contacts don't sync, you can try to fix it by simply turning off the iPhone, and restarting it.

To fix the contacts sync error, connect your iPhone to your computer and open iTunes. Click on your iPhone in the left-hand panel on iTunes, and select "Info". On the next page, check that the correct sync method is selected. This is usually "Contacts". If that's not the case, select the correct one and click "Apply".

  1. iTunes not playing music

If your iTunes seems to have stopped playing music, the first thing you should do is to check the playlists. If the playlists are the problem, you need to delete them and recreate them.

To do this, go to iTunes > My Playlists, and click the "Edit" button. Select all the playlists, and click "delete". Now, go to the iTunes Store, and search for music. When you find the songs you want, click the "buy" button, and add them to your music library. Once the songs are added to your library, they should appear in your playlists. If they don't, you need to create the playlists again.

  1. Battery Drain

This is the most common iOS issue reported by users. To fix it, you need to go to Settings > General > Usage > Battery Usage and check which apps use the most power. You can then either uninstall these apps or change the settings of the apps using more power to save battery life.

  1. Unresponsive Screen

This is also a very common issue, especially on iPhone 6 models. There is no clear reason why this happens, but the solution is quite simple. You just need to press the Home and Power buttons at the same time for 10 seconds and this should fix the issue.

  1. Frozen App

This is a common issue on iOS 6. To fix it, simply press the Home and Power buttons at the same time for 10 seconds and this should help you get out of the frozen app.

  1. Keyboard Lag/Slow

This is a problem that can be experienced by anyone who has an iOS device. To fix it, you need to go to Settings >General > Reset > Reset Keyboard Dictionary and then toggle off the spell-check. This should fix the issue.

  1. Password Field Not Visible

If you are having issues in seeing the password field, simply go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Increase Contrast and toggle on the Bold Text option.
